Masonic graveside services for Philip E. Hamilton, 65, formerly of Veedersburg, will be a 1 p.m. Saturday at Rockfield Cemetery. Mr. Hailton died at 1 a.m. Friday (Mar 28, 1975) at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Martinez, Calif. Born Aug. 26, 1909, at Paris, Ill., he was the son of Philip and Nannie Black Hamilton. On May 27, 1937, he married Audrey King, who died in 1956. He was a meat cutter by trade and for many years managed the meat department for Safe-Way Markets in Martinez. He was a veteran of World War II, a member of Capitol City Lodge 499 F Y AM in Sacramento, Calif., Sacramento Chapter Sons in Retirement. Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Ted Bird of West Terre Haute, Mrs. Lenden Shuman of Terre Haute and Mrs. Edward E. Cole of Dayton, Ohio; a brother, Alva E. Hamilton of West Terre Haute; and a step-brother, Warren Baugh of Chicago. The family requested any memorials be in the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
